To whom shall we go?
In John 6, Jesus performed the miracle of feeding about five thousand people with five loaves and two fish (John 6:1-13). After witnessing this great miracle, many people continued to follow Him. However, Jesus knew that some were seeking Him only because they had eaten the bread and were physically satisfied. He told them, “Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father

Beware of your choices
God created us as free moral agents, which means we have the ability to make our own choices. Our choices can make and unmake us, and every choice has consequences. The decisions we make can result in either positive outcomes or negative consequences that may even affect generations after us. In the Scriptures, we see many people making choices. Some were positive, like that of Noah (Genesis 6:8-9; Hebrews 11:7), and some were negative. In this article, I want us to learn fro

Two lessons from the life of Cain
Genesis 4 narrates the sad story of Cain and Abel. The Bible tells us that in the course of time, likely many years after their birth, when they were grown, Cain and Abel brought sacrifices to God. However, while Abel and his sacrifice were accepted, Cain and his sacrifice were not (Genesis 4:4-5). A deeper reflection on the narrative teaches us many lessons, and I want to share with you two of such lessons in this write up. First of all, verses 4-5 show us that God is not on

There is a church in the Bible
In Matthew 16:18-19, Jesus declared: “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” This raises an important question: Did Jesus really build His church? The answer is yes. God is not a man that He should lie (Titus 1:2)

Where would you spend eternity?
Life here on this planet is full of suffering and pain. We are surrounded by tears, wars, pestilence, persecution, and hunger. Sin is everywhere we look. What a sinful world we live in. You might be asking, “Are we going to live in this sinful world forever?” My dear brothers and sisters, the answer is CERTAINLY NOT. This world is temporary, and it will pass away (2 Peter 3:10–13). We are just pilgrims or sojourners, and we are just passing through this world (Hebrews 11:13;

The importance of patience
“IF THERE IS ANYTHING I HAVE LEARNED THROUGHOUT THESE ORDEALS, IT IS PATIENCE.” These were the words a brother so dear to my heart spoke to me recently during a discussion, and I was very touched. He had been through periods of disappointment, gotten “No” as answers to his prayers, and had experienced prolonged waiting. And when God finally answered his prayers and we reflected on all he had been through, he said to me, “Frank, if there is anything I have learned throughout t

What needs to change in your life?
Change is something we all desire at some point in our lives. Deep within us, we recognize areas that need improvement- habits, attitudes, or behaviors that hold us back from becoming who God has called us to be. However, despite this awareness, we often procrastinate. We delay making those changes, even when we know they are hurting us, affecting others around us, and most importantly, distancing us from God. The Bible gives us a powerful example in the parable of the prodig

Take it to God in prayer
We all have some silent battles we are dealing with. Some has to do with marriage, others are seeking for jobs, others are battling with severe illnesses, some are dealing with rebellious children and others are struggling with various kinds of sins that are weighing them down. But in all these, we often forget that there is a God who has promised us to come to Him with our burdens, and He will give us rest (Matthew 11:28). This truth is beautifully captured in the timeless h
