True Worshipers Worship God in Spirit and Truth

Welcome to Close to Him Ministry's Daily Spiritual Food. Today's spiritual food is taken from;

John 4:23- "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."

In this verse, Jesus continues His conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well. He emphasizes the nature of true worship, which is not bound by location or ritual but by the condition of the heart. Worshiping God "in spirit and truth" means that our worship must be genuine, heartfelt, and aligned with the truth of God's Word.

The Father seeks those who worship Him according to His word and not according to our own will. He expects that we worship Him with sincerity and devotion, not just in outward appearances, but with an inner commitment to living according to His will. As Christians, we must also understand that worship is more than a Sunday ritual; it is a way of life, reflecting our continuous relationship with God.

True worship should also be demonstrated through our daily actions, attitudes, and the integrity of our hearts. Today, I encourage you to consider where you go to church. Do you worship according to the word of God, or do you worship according to the precepts of man? Evaluate your worship practices and seek to worship God in Spirit and truth.
