Get Closer to the Light, Jesus Christ

Welcome to Close to Him Ministry's Daily Spiritual Food. Today's spiritual food is taken from;

John 3:19 - "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil."

Today's verse teaches as that Jesus is the light of the world, who exposes the darkness of sin. However, many choose to stay in darkness because they do not want their evil deeds exposed. They are unwilling to give up their sinful ways.

As Christians, we must understand that following Jesus requires us to step into the light and walk in the light, which means living a life of righteousness and truth. This verse challenges us to examine our own lives. Are we clinging to darkness, or are we willing to let the light of Christ transform us?

This verse also teaches us that if we are followers of the light, then we must be lights in this dark world, guiding others to the truth of the Gospel as Matthew 5:14-16 teaches. Reflect on your own life. Are there areas where you are avoiding the light of Christ? Seek to bring those areas into the light and allow Jesus to transform them Today.
