Welcome to Close to Him Ministry’s Daily Spiritual Food. Today’s spiritual food is taken from;

John 4:36 - “And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.”
Yesterday, we learned that Jesus told His disciples the field was ready for harvest, and we were encouraged to be part of the harvesters. In today’s verse, Jesus emphasizes the joy and reward associated with both sowing and reaping in the spiritual harvest. Jesus speaks of the joy and reward that come from participating in the work of God’s kingdom.
The “wages” refer to the spiritual rewards and the joy of seeing souls brought to eternal life. Whether we are sowers or reapers in God’s field, there is a shared rejoicing in the fruits of the labor. This verse emphasizes the collaborative nature of evangelism—some plant the seeds, others water them, and still, others bring in the harvest, but all share in the joy of the work.
As Christians, it is a reminder that every role in God’s kingdom is valuable, and together we work for the common goal of bringing others to emphasized eternal life. Today, we want you to consider your role in God’s harvest. Whether you are sowing seeds or reaping the fruit, find joy in your participation and collaborate with others in the mission of spreading the Gospel.
Thank you for feeding your soul with today’s spiritual food. God richly bless you and see you tomorrow for another edifying food!
