Welcome to Close to Him Ministry’s Daily Spiritual Food. Today’s spiritual food is taken from;
John 4:37- “For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.”
Today’s verse is a continuation from yesterday’s spiritual food, where Jesus that both those to sow and those who reap receives a reward. This verse highlights the different roles that individuals play in the process of evangelism. Some are called to sow the seeds of the gospel, while others are called to reap the harvest by leading souls to Christ.
It’s a reminder that the work of the kingdom is a collective effort, and each person’s contribution is significant. We may not always see the immediate results of our labor, but our efforts are part of a larger process orchestrated by God. This teaches us the importance of being faithful in whatever role we are given, trusting that God will bring the increase in His time.
This principle is evident in the early church’s work, where some apostles planted the Gospel, and others reaped the benefits of that labor (1 Corinthians 3:6-9). It serves as a reminder that every contribution is valuable and necessary in God’s work. As you reflect on this verse today, please recognize and appreciate the roles others play in the church. Contribute your part, whether sowing or reaping, and support fellow believers in their efforts.
