Welcome to Close to Him Ministry’s Daily Spiritual Food. Today’s spiritual food is taken from;

John 4:38- “I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
In today’s verse, Jesus acknowledges the work of those who have come before and the ongoing nature of the mission. The disciples are reaping the benefits of the groundwork laid by others- the Old Testament prophets, John the Baptist, or even Jesus Himself. This verse reminds us of the continuity of God’s work across generations. As Christians today, we are standing on the shoulders of giants who came before us.
We are beneficiaries of the labors of those who preceded us, and we, in turn, should lay the groundwork for future generations. It’s a call to humility and gratitude, recognizing that our successes in ministry are often the result of the efforts of others, and it encourages us to work diligently so that others may build upon our labor.
As you meditate on this verse, please acknowledge the efforts of those who have come before you in ministry. Build on their work with gratitude and continue to contribute to the ongoing mission of spreading God’s Word.
Thank you for feeding your soul with today’s spiritual food. God richly bless you and see you tomorrow for another edifying food!
