Allow Christ's Light to Expose Your Sins

Welcome to Close to Him Ministry's Daily Spiritual Food. Today's spiritual food is taken from;

John 3:20 - "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed."

Today, we continue with the teachings of Jesus in John 3. Today's verse highlights the natural aversion of sin to the light of truth. Those who practice evil avoid the light because it reveals their wrongdoings.

In our various communities, most, if not all, evil deeds like robbing, raping, murder, and others are done in darkness so that they cannot be seen. But as Christians, we are called to live transparently before God and others, walking in the light of God's word. This means we should allow the light of Christ to expose sins and guide our actions.

This verse also teaches that we should not be surprised when the world resists the gospel message because it challenges their way of life. As you meditate on this verse Today, be reminded that as followers of Christ, we must boldly walk in the light and invite others to do the same, trusting that God's light can transform even the darkest hearts.
